Terms and Conditions
Cancellations more than 12 hours prior departure will incur a 25% fee for administration expenses. Cancellation of tours with less than 12 hours notice will be charged the full tour price. Byblos Resort and Tour Operators do not refund for cancellations made at the last minute, or unused excursions due to no-shows.
Byblos Resort & Casino only selects operators who meet local requirements, are properly licensed, insured and have an established reputation. However we are not responsible for any deficiency, delay, personal accidents, or any other sort of irregularity that may occur on any tours presented by local tour operators.
All rates and schedules are subject to change. Green Season schedules are dependent upon weather conditions on the given day of the tour. Please confirm price and schedule at the time of booking.
Sport Fishing
Offering an affordable boutique sized resort atmosphere, Byblos Resort & Casino has served as one of anglers' most popular Manuel Antonio lodging, dining, and casino options in Costa Rica for more than 20 years. Byblos is located only 2.5 miles south of the world-famous fishing port of Quepos. Quepos is one of the world's finest sport fishing locations. Many record Billfish, and other species, have been caught in our local waters. Marlin Magazine titled Quepos as one of the best locations in the world for "all around action."
The offshore reefs billfish are the most popular choice for most anglers, and they are rarely disappointed from as early as December and continuing through April, although fishing is generally good year round. A typical day can consist of releasing many sailfish and often a marlin or two, although it is not uncommon to release more than a dozen sailfish in one day. Throughout the year, you can also expect to catch dolphin, giant yellowfin tuna, wahoo, cubera, roosterfish, a variety of snapper, grouper, both blue and rainbow runners, snook, jacks, mackerel, and many other species. Inshore Fishing
It is only a short run to the fishing grounds for inshore angling, and it is relatively inexpensive and offers great views of the coast. This fishing adventure generally lasts approximately 4 hours and is reserved according to marine tides. The Quepos and Damas Island areas are known for their inshore fishing along river mouths and in the local mangroves. Local fishermen use small boats or pongas for a maximum 4 pax per boat. Common species caught are: Snook, red snapper, and other local freshwater fish. Excursion includes transportation, guide, drinks, beer, and fishing equipment. We recommend you take a hat, sunscreen, and a waterproof camera.
Horseback Riding
If you enjoy horseback riding, this is a great way to experience the local ecosystem and enjoy a special moment with nature. You are guided through the luxuriant rainforest and rivers and finally into an unforgettable waterfall. Relax and enjoy the delightful meal prepared for you. You will have the opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes of the area, riding through primary and secondary rainforest and swimming in pristine waterfalls. You will see some of the best views of the valley and the surrounding tropical landscapes.

ATV Motorcycle Tours
This is one of our most popular tours and a great way for you to see our local countryside. Your guide will lead the way along less traveled roads, taking you through African Palm Plantations and typical farm towns. Discover the spectacular waterfalls and have a chance to cool off in one of the natural pools. You will climb to 1,000 feet, where you can enjoy incredible views of Costa Rican's Central Pacific Coast. Transportation to and from your hotel, professional bilingual guides, breakfast or lunch, fruit (dessert), 4-wheelers fully equipped to drive in the forest and helmets are included. Mangrove Tours
This is a very popular tour, especially for those interested in our local ecosystem and wildlife. Join us on a covered boat tour through the mangrove canals of Damas Island. Once aboard your boat inside the estuary system, your professional guide will describe a variety of biological relationships between some of the diverse organisms in this delicate habitat, including sloths, monkeys, and iguanas just to name a few.
This tour lasts approximately 4 hours. Transportation, bilingual guide, beverages and lunch are included. Tours leave according to tides. We suggest that you bring suntan lotion, hat, sunglasses, mosquito repellent, and a camera.
Spa Treatments
No longer considered just for beautification purposes, spa services have gained mainstream popularity in reducing stress, soothing tired or sore muscles, and providing a deep felt relaxation from head to toe, allowing visitors a temporary retreat from all that ails them. The naturally diverse country of Costa Rica, allows for an even more exotic experience. Vanilla Spice Tours
A privately owned spice farm is located approximately 40 minutes from Quepos hotels and town. Booking a few days in advance is recommended, as the tour is run on a popular demand basis. Spend approximately 2 ½ hrs learning about the local cultivation of fresh spices and their distribution from a local farm to both national and international markets. Tour includes transportation (if needed), guide, refreshments, and snacks.
Rainmaker Reserve Tours
This tour is an excellent option for hikers and nature lovers. Rainmaker is a privately-owned 3,000 acre reserve with a series of suspension bridges connected by platforms along the tree-top canopy. Professionally trained, bilingual guides carefully lead you through the reserve taking time to explain the many plants, insects, birds, snakes, and other animal sightings, as well as the purpose of this important reserve. Visitors have the opportunity to take a dip in one of the waterfall pools during their hike. Tour includes refreshments, fruits, snacks, and a wonderful typical Costa Rican lunch in their "rancho." Manuel Antonio Park
Manuel Antonio is one of Costa Rica's most famous national parks. Following a professional nature interpreter along this moderate three-hour walk will open your eyes to the wonders of this tropical forest and its natural history. You can expect to see various species of monkeys, plus white nosed coati-mondis, sloths, agoutis, butterflies, iguanas, and various birds. After the tour, we suggest that you spend some time enjoying the beautiful beaches within the park, so take along your bathing suit and beach towel and just catch a taxi or the local bus for a short ride back to the hotel. Transportation, park entrance fee, bilingual guide, and fruits are included. Physical Requirement: Moderate. The park entrance fee allows your entrance to the park for the entire day. If you take a morning tour, you can return to the park after lunch to enjoy the pristine beaches.

Butterfly & Reptile Gardens
Located right next-door to Byblos Resort, this informative tour is hosted by professionally trained bilingual nature guides. Visitors have the opportunity to see over 20 species of butterflies on this guided one-hour long tour. Guests can also choose to visit their reptile gardens for a nominal added fee. Surfing Classes
Learn to surf like a pro, even those that have never attempted this sport. Classes are taught by locals, who know the waves and want you to master the task as quickly as possible. Local beaches offer varying sizes of waves to please both beginners or even challenging the pros. The Manuel Antonio area hosts many surf tournaments each year. Classes include transportation, surfboards, guide, surf shirt, fruit, and drinks. We recommend you wear your swimsuit and take sunscreen, towel, camera, and dry clothes (optional).
Scuba Diving
Certified divers or adventure seeking beginners will enjoy excursions to the rock formation and reefs off the shoreline of Manuel Antonio. Professional bilingual PADI-certified dive masters give you proper instruction as they lead you through the marvels of the undersea world. Safety is emphasized and proper equipment is supplied, including children's gear. Extensive Discover Diving beginner classes are offered, as well as renewal sessions are for those whose certification has expired. Canopy Zipline Tours
The Canopy Safari takes you to a spectacular river. Waterfalls provide the backdrop for 17 platforms carefully built in the canopy of the Rain Forest. You will glide from platform to platform while secure to a cable, traveling over the rainforest below. Experience the ultimate eco-adventure with 17 platform, 9 zip-lines, 3 rappels.

The Titi Canopy Tour takes you through both Primary and Secondary forest, where you can enjoy different types of animals, birds, insects, and plants. Come and enjoy the 14 platforms located just 15 minutes from the hotel! Great for families. Transportation, guides and snacks are included. Plan to bring hiking boots or tennis shoes, short or long pants, repellent, and camera. Physical Demand: Moderate/Age Restrictions. Tour duration is about 2 hours.
Whitewater Rafting
Experience some of the best white water rafting in the world. Costa Rica's wild and untamed rivers plunge through beautiful and largely untamed tropical wilderness. Enjoy our local tropical rivers, whether an expert or beginner, nature lover or thrill seeker, this expedition is for you.
The Class III/IV Half Day challenge is for more experienced paddlers and adventurers. The Naranjo River drops steeply from the mountains above Quepos, though a beautiful jungle gorge and takes you on a wild ride to sea level passing nearby farmlands and palm plantations. Rafters should be physically fit and ready for adventure.
The Class II/III Full Day adventure includes a journey into the very remote back country of the Savegre River for a 4 hour guided rafting trip. There are great swimming holes and a large variety of birds. Lunch is provided.
Pickup at the Hotel, guide, snacks and beverages are provided. We recommend that you bring suntan lotion, bathing suit, waterproof camera, appropriate footwear, and towel. Physical Demand: Moderate / challenging. Age restrictions.
Mountain Biking
A wide variety of tours are available to accommodate almost any level experience or conditioning. The tours take you through the rain forest, farms and beaches. This can be a great way to see a variety of local wildlife, depending on the area you visit. Many tours include time to rest and swim in the crystal clear waters of a remote waterfall. Some of our tours take you to rural "TICO" homes or typical ranches where delicious home cooked meals are served to restore your energy. The tour includes lightweight aluminiun specialized Marin and GT bicycles equipped with front Rock Shox suspension and Shimano components and helmets. We suggest that you bring tennis shoes, short or long pants, repellent, camera, bathing suit and a towel (optional). Tours include water, sports drink, equipment, snack, and possibly lunch.
Kayaking Trips
The Open Ocean Paddle is a more challenging excursion along Costa Rica 's most beautiful Manuel Antonio coastline. See nesting sites for boobies and frigate birds as you paddle by nearby islands. Swim and have snacks in an isolated bay. Transportation, bilingual guide, fruits, snacks, beverages, and lunch at the end of the trip are included with the tour. We suggest that you bring suntan lotion, hat/visor, sunglasses, bathing suit, waterproof camera, and beach towel. Single and double kayaks are available. Physical Demand: Challenging.
Damas Island Kayaking takes you through protected inland waterways. This is a great way to explore coastal mangrove areas and see native wildlife. View many different birds, and see the mangroves close-up. One of our most popular eco-tours. Physical Demand: Moderate.
Jet Ski Tours
This fun tour is perfect for the adventurist that isn't content to sit on a boat with the rest of the crowd. If you seek excitement, this is the perfect way to explore the shores of the Manuel Antonio and Quepos area. Spend approximately 2 hours touring the offshore islands enjoying sightings of the rare and endangered marine birds while looking for dolphins, and the occasional passing whale or giant marine turtle. Stop to visit beautiful secluded white sand beaches where you can swim, snorkel, or just enjoy the sun and scenery. Single or double bikes are available. Tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, life vest, drinks, snacks, and snorkel equipment. We recommend you wear your bathing suit, use sunscreen, and take a towel and waterproof camera. Snorkel & Dolphin Watch
Travel along the scenic coast, navigating past the beautiful beaches and islands of Manuel Antonio National Park, aboard large comfortable catamarans, sail boats, or tour boats. You will probably see dolphins, which frequently swim in the boat's bow wake. Occasionally whales and giant sea turtles are also sighted. Snacks, drinks, and lunch or dinner are included. Consider bringing along suntan lotion, bathing suit, hat, sunglasses, beach towel, and camera. This excursion will last about 4 to 5 hours.
Ultralight Flights
Experience a bird's eye view of the area from an exciting ultralight flight! From their base, shorter tours begin by flying over the local shrimp farms, African Palm farms, and the Damas Island mangrove eco-system before heading southeast over the Quepos beach and returning to their base via the Paquita River. Longer flights offer more views of Quepos town, Cocal Beach, and Quepos Marina as well as a low flight over the many hotels lining the mountains above Manuel Antonio beaches before making a loop through the Park. We recommend sunscreen and a camera. Physical Demand: None.
Parasailing Excursions
Not for those that fear heights, this is one of the best ways to see the beautiful Manuel Antonio area. After a beach launching, you will float high in the sky with unparalled views of the offshore islands, park, and postcard-perfect beaches. The captain will happily give you a few dips in the water, followed by a quick tug on the cable that sends you soaring skyward again. Upon completion, you will be gently lowered to the water and brought back to shore by boat. Unforgetable fun and excitement!!
